HAY
Las utilizamos para decir que algo o alguien existe o está presente en un lugar.
Por ejemplo:
There is a book on the table.
Hay un libro sobre la mesa.
There are three books on the table.
Hay tres libros sobre la mesa.
La diferencia es muy sencilla:
Lo utilizamos cuando hay una persona, animal o cosa.
There is a dog.
Hay un perro.
There is a car.
Hay un carro.
There is a student.
Hay un estudiante.
Lo utilizamos cuando hay dos o más personas, animales o cosas.
There are two dogs.
Hay dos perros.
There are three cars.
Hay tres carros.
There are many students.
Hay muchos estudiantes.
